spicyinvalid Urraca has many notable joys and incredible jazz-and-beyond inspiring attributes. Upon further listening, it is evident that each track is intricately composed and infused with loads of soul, rich timbral qualities, and keen artistic direction. I was blown away by Nadel's debut album, and take pleasure giving it a frequent spin on various mental excursions. As such, the next record is highly anticipated! Favorite track: Pueblano.

about

In varied jazz trio formats, this album explores the melodic, rhythmic, and harmonic properties of the bass guitar. The music intentionally blurs the line between composition and improvisation in order to create moments that are both familiar and exciting.
